Recipe of the Month: Jeff's Vension Surprise
Jeff's Venison Surprise
1lb.-1.5lb. venison
1 medium onion
1 small can mushrooms
1-1.5 Tbs. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
salt and pepper
seasoning salt
marjoram
dry basil
garlic powder
poultry seasoning
3/4 tsp. Wisconsin Steak Salt
anything else that smells good to you!
Brown venison, mushrooms, and onions in butter. While this is browning combine the soup and milk until smooth. When meat is done add the soup. Now for the fun part. I add a couple of dashes of each of the above spices and let simmer while covered for about 45 minutes.
